House Hunters
I love the show House Hunters on HGTV. I have been watching it for years, and it is one of my favorite shows on HGTV, so you can imagine how excited I was to see this in the newspaper on Friday....
Calling all Richmond home buyers -- here's your chance to be on national TV.
Home & Garden Television's hit series "House Hunters" will be filming in Richmond this season. Series producers are looking for home buyers and real estate agents to appear on the shows.
"House Hunters" follows buyers and their agents as they find the right house. The show is looking for buyers who are closing on a home within the next one to two months, including those who are actively bidding on a home or have a newly signed contract.
If you live within a 90-minute drive of downtown Richmond and "are fun, enthusiastic and have a great story to tell," in the words of the producers
So, because I'm loooking in Norfolk and it is exactly 90 minutes away from Richmond, I sent the casting director an email this afternoon. I should have told more about us and sent a "fun and ethusiastic" picture, but this is what I sent her...
Sara,
As a regular viewer of House Hunters, I could not have been more excited to hear that you are planning on filming episodes in Richmond this season! My boyfriend and I are from Texas, but we have both ended up in Virginia within the last year. I currently live in Richmond and Nick lives in Norfolk, where he is a Navy Pilot. Nick found out that he is going to be stationed in Norfolk for at least the next 3 years, so I am planning on moving to Norfolk, where we are currently looking at purchasing our first home!
Norfolk is 90 minutes away from Richmond (so it is JUST within the limit!!), and we are planning on making an offer on a house this week. We love the houses in Norfolk, they have so much charm and character. The houses we are typically looking at are early 1900's houses, and are often recently renovated, but of course there are a lot of houses that need improvement.
Nick and I would love to have the opportunity to share our home buying experience with the rest of the country and show the charm and history you find in Norfolk.
Please feel free to contact me, if you would like to talk further!!
Thank you Sara!
I have a good feeling about this! Nick and I watched House Hunters tonight so we could be prepared for our show! I hope she emails me back tomorrow!!!!!

Annapolis
My dad and I went up to Annapolis yesterday to meet up with Nick and his dad. I had never been to Annapolis, and heard I would love. It's true, I DID love it!!!
We walked around the Naval Academy and then in downtown Annapolis. It is so cute with little boutiques, restaurants, bars, shops, all on the water.

my mouth is watering...
I would like more than anything else right now, to have some tex mex. Particularly, sour cream enchiladas, rice and beans, followed by a waffled cone with peppermint ice cream from braums.
